Send a large file over the Internet with YouSendIt

This video shows you how to use the online file delivery service YouSenditIt.com to send a file to someone. There are two ways to do this. One is to register for an account and send a file, and the other is to do it directly from the interface that you'll find on the website. You don't have to register, but generally if your file is going to be larger than 20 MB the person on the receiving end will need to register. But in this video we're shown how to send a file from the interface you're presented with right on the site. In the "To" box, you enter the email address of the person you want to send the file to. In the "From" box, type in your own email address. Enter in the optional subject and message in the other boxes if you'd like. The maximum file size is 100 megabytes. Browse for the file you want to send, and click the "Send It" button. This will begin to upload the file, showing you the percentage it's completed. Depending on your internet connection speed and so forth, the time can vary. In this case, we're sending a 17 MB file and it says it'll take a couple minutes. When it's complete, you'll see a message telling you your file has been successfully uploaded. The person on the receiving end will not need to log into their email to check their email and see if they've received the file. You may want to send an email to the person you're sending the file to, just so they know to look for the email from YouSendIt. This is because, depending on their bulk or junk email settings, it may have wound up in their spam bin instead of their inbox. The person on the receiving end then opens the email, clicks to download the file, and saves it wherever they want. That's how it's done!
