This video discusses how to bypass your router to access your server. In the search window type in CMD to open up a command prompt. Then type in ipconfig to bring up the ip configuration. You want to look for the ip address for the default gateway and the one for your computer. They should both start with 192.168. Once you find them open up internet explorer and type in the ip address for your default gateway and it should then prompt you for a user name and password. Log in and look for a port forwarding option. Then look for add a custom service. Put in a name for the service you want to add and input the port information from the instructions for the item you are setting up. Next type in your computers ip address and hit apply. To access this item you are going to need your main ip address for the router. To get this address use Google and type in find my ip address. The first entry should be your routers main ip address. Then all you have to do is type in that ip address, colon, and the port you are forwarding to and you are done.
